The mission of Miami United Volleyball Club (MUV) is to promote and support the growth of boys volleyball in the South Florida area. MUV provides athletes with high-level technical skills training, competitive playing opportunities; and tactical and educational training in a positive learning environment that fosters personal growth and development; and a passion for the game of volleyball.
At MUV, we are committed to ensuring that every MUV Club athlete has a positive experience that fuels their love of volleyball and competition. While we do provide our athletes with the highest caliber of volleyball training, it is equally important that athletes learn life lessons that will stay with them long after their volleyball career comes to an end. Our coaches are mentors, role models, and above all, teachers. We will teach our athletes to be disciplined; compete and train at full maximum effort, be a supportive and positive teammate; be a problem-solver, push beyond their comfort zone, and compete with confidence and enthusiasm. We are very fortunate to have an outstanding group of coaches and staff, upon whom our athletes can rely on for instruction, guidance, and support.
MUV is a family. Our older athletes work with and get to know our younger athletes, and our teams support and cheer for each other whenever they can. Volleyball opens many doors for male student athletes who need assistance financing their higher education. We are very proud to be a part of these processes.
MUV was founded in 2017 by Chris Kallinosis, a prominent athlete/coach and supporter of volleyball in the South Florida Volleyball community for the last 15 years. Recognizing the need to raise the skill level of high school players with additional training and competition in the off season; and wanting to create a strong, competitive, and unified boys volleyball club in Miami; MUV was formed through the merger of the boys division of five regionally and nationally recognized volleyball clubs: Miami Hype, Miami Select, Miami Volleyball Academy, Powerhouse and Volleyball Players Academy. With the merger of five elite boys volleyball programs, MUV has been able to create a commanding and competitive presence in the boys volleyball club scene; and finally give Miami’s male volleyball athletes the recognition they deserve.
MUV is proud to be recognized as the premier boys only volleyball club for South Florida. Our exclusivity and focus on male volleyball athletes has allowed MUV to cultivate and produce top Miami athletes who compete at a regional and national level; and also get recruited by some of the top college programs in the country. Where once, boys volleyball in Miami lacked cohesion and uniformity, unable to be recognized competitively among their peers across Florida, now United We Stand. Welcome to our family!
